Deriving its aesthetics and ideas from the classical film noir, Noir was performed by 10 dancers in a dingy parking garage and viewed by the audience from their parked cars. Behind the windshield, which framed the performance, the voyeuristic audience could hear the sound from their car's own radio and watch the various tableaus tinged with suspense, unfold as abstract narratives seemingly taking place between fiction and reality.
