Invasion was inspired by the physical ambition to conquer the fortress only with one's body. The work was created specifically for the moat of Fort Jay as part of Dancing in the Street's "Dance Charrette", curated by Joanna Haigood, an exercise challenging choreographers to create a site-specific work in 5 days with no prior knowledge of the site.
