Sens is a New York-based non-profit experimental arts organization founded
in 2001. Our mission is to produce innovative site-specific dance performances
that explore the dynamics of movement in public spaces and engage audiences
in spatial participation. We create live performances that can transform
our audiences' perception of their environment by integrating choreography
in the urban architecture and landscape. Our vision is to heighten our
audience's experience of their community by making live art that emphasizes
contact and interactions between people. With our work we aim to develop
a broader knowledge and audience for live movement based performance that
are re-contextualizing the boundaries of art outside of the black-box
or the white wall.
